President reads letter from Secretary of Army, approval of ROTC unit, in fall, 1969. Discussion of medical school. Mayor of Mobile pledges $1,500,000, County, $1,500,000, and Foundation pledges to raise $1,500,000. Resolution Mobile General Hospital endorsing transfer of hospital. Letter from Legislative Reference Service stating University has ample legal authority to establish medical school in Mobile County. Resolution approved: Establish medical school.
