President Whiddon reported briefly on status of construction, faculty and student enrollment Dr. Caldwell reported on Hillsdale Heights Motion approved: University pays $307.41 to State of Alabama from bookstore profits to pay expenses not payable from state appropriations Reference to Dept. of HEW approved grant under Title III at $407.79 Summary on acquired property south of 16th section, north of Old Shell Road and 17th and 21st section Motion approved: To purchase Zimlich property at a cost not to exceed $100,000.00 Proposed resolution for facsimile signatures of the President and Comptroller authorized on checks to be paid against University's bank account not approved but carried over for consideration later Resolution adopted: Commending Dr. Mitchell as Acting Dean, Arts & Sciences Resolution adopted: Fiscal gear of the University bookstore and cafeteria be established beginning Sept. 1 and ending Aug. 31, effective 1967 Sketch International Pavilion (student center). Action deferred for future consideration Life Science Building Sketch No. 9 approved Resolution adopted: Condemnation of certain real property (parcels 17-32, 17-33, 17-34, and 17-35, located west of Middle Ring Road, north of Old Shell Road in Section 17, T4S, R2W Resolution adopted: fraternities and sororities to make formal application building houses on campus Report from Frederic R. Harris, Inc. recommended central cooling and heating plant economically sound.
