Memo received from Dept. of H. E. & W. with reference to Civil Rights Act of 1964. Motion made that Executive Committee authorize President of U. of S. A. to sign this "Assurance of Compliance'' as soon as it is ascertained that the University of Alabama and Auburn have signed President discussed need for 2 office buildings and to be paid for by funds other than funds appropriated by State of Alabama. Motion approved for President to proceed with the plans for these buildings. Memo and assurance of compliance attached. (See file - Civil Rights)	33 33
