Motion made that resolution be passed asking the State Commission to give U. of S. A. top priority in (physical facilities) allocations. Motion passed A Bill proposed by Alabama Committee for Better Schools entitled "A Commission on Education" was discussed and outcome was non-commital Survey be made to determine current tuition charge Gas air conditioning decided on Budget for biennium $2500,000.00 first year of biennium $2,750,000.00 second year Mr. Cleverdon discussed need for School of Commerce, Engineering, Nursing and Education (very strong already) Financing of next building being planned. Possibly secure a Federal Grant of $200,000. From Federal Government of $250,000 at 3 3/4 percent interest, leaving balance of $150,000 which must be financed from non-federal funds Dr. Whiddon would give memo on security for Federal Government loan A Bill to be entitled an Act.
