Dr. Faculty Name

Assistant Professor
English Department, College of Arts and Sciences

Tips to Remember

  • Add meta description that includes faculty member's name, position, and department at a minimum.
  • Only add Social Media links unique to the faculty member -- not social media links for the department.
  • Lists should be formatted as unordered lists -- not paragraphs.
  • Notice the difference between Research and Publications on the page for Dr. Glover.  Research is truly a paragraph and Publications a list.

Section Headings

  • Headings for each section should be formatted as Heading 2 with Alternative Heading 4 styling applied.
  • Sub Headings should be formatted as Heading 3 with Alternative Heading 6 styling applied.
  • See example in the Courses section of the page for Dr. Amy Adams.

Contact Box and Image

  • Image is added in page properties.  Make sure it is stated with dependency tag and not the relative URL for the image address.

  • Contact information should be added in appropriate fields.  If there are fields you do not need like "Link to CV," for example, simple delete the line.

  • You may find adding a line or deleting a line from the contact box is easier in the HTML view.  Please contact a member of the Web Services team if you need assistance.

  • Where list items are multiple lines, you may wish to format at lists and then set the element type to "Paragraph" to add a small amount of space between the items. as you see in this list  Do not add an additional line between list items.  This is a great technique to use for the Publications section of a faculty page.

Publications

  • Where faculty member's name is included in the Publication list, you may wish to bold their name as shown in the Publications section of Dr. Grant Glover's page.

  • Italics can be used to format the title of publications.

  • Styling of the publications section is a bit flexible and determined by the college but it is recommended that similar styling is used for all pages for the department or college.
