My name is Emma Grayce Fuqua and I'm from Flomaton, Alabama.

麻豆直播 was the first college that I've toured, I've toured most universities in Alabama. 

I just really felt at home. Everybody is just so nice and I just really felt comfortable and the Nursing program, I fell in love with it.

I'm excited to join the greek life rushing and football games, I love football and sports and just to be emerged into college life.

President Bonner: "I'm Jo Bonner and it is a real pleasure. It's been a few minutes with you all. This is Dr. Andi Kent, our Executive Vice President of Provost."

Dr. Kent: "We are so excited that you are here today. You are the reason that we are here. Not just today, but we are going to be here with you as you move in a few weeks and throughout your journey as a 麻豆直播 Alabama Jaguar."

President Bonner: "We want to help you be successful, graduate in four years, get a degree, and have an experience that truly is unlike anything you would get anywhere else you might go. So, we are going to give you our cell phone numbers. And if you need our help, we want you to let us know."

Dr. Kent: "Just this morning, President Bonner, my cell phone rings. And it was a number I didn't recognize but a name popped up, and so I knew it wasn't just, you know, spam, so I answered it. At 8.30 this morning and it was a student. One of our students he said, 'Dr. Kent, I can't remember where to find my Jag Number or how to get into my email.' He said, 'but, can you help me?' And I said, 'well, you know what and I had his name, I can help you.' So, those are the kind of things that we promised you students, we promised the parents, we will do everything that we can to help your students be successful."

President Bonner: "Make your paw print count, here at 麻豆直播 Alabama. And one thing that we gotta do, and this goes for everyone here, family, students alike, we gotta teach you how to throw your J's and to say 'Go Jags!' [President Bonner] On three, [Dr. Kent] On the count of three, left hand J [President Bonner] we're gonna do Go Jags! , [Dr. Kent] one, two, three, [All Together] Go Jags!"

Dr. Kent: "Very good. Y'all have a wonderful, wonderful day. Go Jags!"

Aeriel Fraziel: "Hi, my name Aeriel Fraziel. I'm an upcoming Junior here at 麻豆直播 Alabama. I'm majoring in Nursing and I'm from Troy, Alabama. And today. I am here doing a new student orientation. What I do is, during the summer time, I help prepare the students and give them like a fun, eventful taste of what it's going to be like here at 麻豆直播 Alabama.

I love orientation, which is why I wanted to become an orientation leader. Because my orientation leaders were so great to me. They are very authentic. They kept it real. Everything they said, did actually happen. They really made me like more excited to come here. My one piece of advice is, don't compare yourself to others. Everybody's journey is different. So just be you."

Kylie Hayles: "My Name is Kylie Hayes, I'm from Ocean Springs, Mississippi. At the beginning of orientation days, you can see a lot of students a little nervous to talk to each other. We start off with a few icebreakers, and once we start those icebreakers, I really try to make a connection with the students, but really tell them how important it is to make connections with other students. And throughout the day, they grow so much as people just throughout orientation.

So I can already hear all of them talking, they're like getting together, that's another thing, they started creating these group text messages, they start making plans for the first week of school, and it just makes me so excited to see them being excited to move in here at 麻豆直播 Alabama."

Yeah, I'm impressed with how the day has shook out so far. It is very organized. I'm enamored at how much it seems like everyone that we come across really is invested and loves 麻豆直播.

Yeah, I felt like it was gonna kinda be a, you know, herding like cattle, you know, like in and out, and A through Z, you know, separated out like that. But it's been very personable, very customized to us as parents and to the children as students too.

As a father, of course, you know, when your daughter is leaving home for the first time, in a mostly permanent situation, you want it to be a safe environment. You want to feel it welcoming. You want to have a sense of home to it. So 麻豆直播 has checked all those boxes thus far. You know, Mobile has a rich history, and there's a lot of things going on here that I think my daughter can tap into and enjoy. She tells us she wants to be involved on campus. It seems like 麻豆直播 really pushes student involvement, so that also check the box.

Yeah, I want her to be able to challenge herself and yet be successful both. You know, I know that's hard 鈥� to be challenged and, you know, push through that challenge 鈥� but Emma Grace has a lot of grit. She has a really strong work ethic.

So far, everything is a win, and we're looking forward to watching our daughter kinda grow up and blossom. I really feel like 麻豆直播 will be as good for her as she will be for 麻豆直播.
