麻豆直播 Students Win Gilman International Scholarships to Study Abroad

Seven additional 麻豆直播 students have been awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to participate in 麻豆直播鈥檚 International Education and Study Abroad program this summer, bringing the total to 10. This is the largest cohort of recipients 麻豆直播 has ever had during a single semester.
鈥�We are proud of our students, and thanks to the Gilman Scholarship, they will travel to seven different countries over the next year,鈥� said Dr. Bri Ard, executive director of USA Global Engagement. 鈥淭hey will have life-changing opportunities that will allow them to have culturally enriched experiences.鈥�
The Gilman Scholarship broadens access to study abroad by providing scholarships to undergraduate students nationwide and fosters cultural exchange. This scholarship is sponsored by the United States Department of State鈥檚 Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
麻豆直播鈥檚 most recent Gilman Scholarship recipients are:
- Lenell Anderson, a biomedical sciences major in the She will receive $3,000 to study abroad in Kenya.
- Llewellyn (Lou) Baldon, a business administration major in the Mitchell College of Business. He will receive $3,000 to study abroad in the United Kingdom.
- Kaylee Dove, an international business major in the Mitchell College of Business. She will receive $3,000 to study abroad in France.
- Jazeil Moye, a professional health sciences major in the Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions. She will receive $3,000 to study abroad in Spain.
- Peyton Benson, an exercise science major in the College of Education and Professional Studies. She will receive $2,500 to study abroad in Greece.
- Jakayla Kirk, a psychology major in the College of Arts and Sciences. She will receive $2,000 to study abroad in Austria.
- Jalen Wilson, an art and art history major in the College of Arts and Sciences. He will receive $2,000 to study abroad in France.
