Lydia Newton, Guest Artist Violin Recital July 18

Violinist Lydia Newton

Lydia Newton will present a guest artist violin recital on Thursday, July 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. Newton recently graduated from the Eastman School of Music with her master鈥檚 degree in violin performance, and this fall she will continue at Eastman to pursue her DMA. The program includes violin sonatas composed by Mozart and Beethoven, as well as Amy Beach's "Romance." Joining Newton will be USA faculty pianist Dr. Robert Holm.

Admission to this Department of Music concert is free and open to the public. Persons needing more information about this event or in need of special accommodation may call 251-460-7116 or 251-460-6136.
