USA's Department of Music is excited to offer the USA Piano Camp 2022 workshop, June 20-24, to pianists age 11 through adult.  The camp will focus this summer on the music of Liszt and the Virtuoso.  Daily classes will focus on technique, theory, form and literature.  Students will take mini-lessons and master classes with nationally renowned experts and USA piano faculty.

Students should bring 1 or 2 piano pieces to study during the workshop. Pieces by Liszt or other showy pieces are recommended but not required.

Registered students will be encouraged to perform in the Camp Finale Participant Concert at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 24, in the Laidlaw Recital Hall.  Admission to that concert is free and open to the public.

Additionally, recitals by Piano Camp Faculty featuring Liszt and the Virtuoso will be given Monday through Thursday June 20-23 from 3:00 p.m. and are included in the workshop fee.  General admission tickets for faculty recitals will be sold at the door of the Laidlaw Recital Hall for $5.00 each (cash or check only, please).

USA Piano Camp Faculty this year includes the following teachers –

Axel Lenarduzzi, Claude Debussy Conservatory
Michael Gurt, Louisiana State University
Dr. James Helton, Ball State University
Dr. Robert Holm, Â鶹ֱ²¥

The daily schedule includes:

-- Classes on music theory and reading music

-- Classes on Liszt and the Virtuoso

-- Special topic presentations by piano camp faculty

-- Daily private mini-lesson with faculty

-- Daily master class with faculty

-- Practice time

-- Students will need to bring a sack lunch with drink!!

-- No on-campus lodging is available.
