Student Spotlight: Caleb Lambert

Hey everyone! My name is Caleb Lambert and I am a senior marketing management major. I am extremely excited to graduate in May and join the ever-changing climate that is the business world.

I am from Oxford, Alabama,the halfway point between Birmingham and Atlanta. Given my surroundings, I was actually interested in another university for the majority of my high school career. It wasn鈥檛 until a few weeks before my senior year that I toured 麻豆直播 Alabama. I loved everything about it: from my tour guide, to the weather, and everything in between. After deciding that 麻豆直播 was the right place for me, I met with the Dean of the Mitchell College and was blown away by what it had to offer me as a student. 

My freshman year, I wanted to be a part of anything and everything. I went through fall recruitment for Interfraternity Council and joined Kappa Alpha Order. I worked my way on to our executive team and eventually was elected President, and served  for two years. I was the National Undergraduate Chairman for KA, which serves as the voice for all undergraduate members to our National Executive Council. Through KA, I joined several other organizations including the College Republicans, Mortar Board Senior Honor Society and Campus Outreach. 

When it comes to my time in the Mitchell College of Business, I could not be any more grateful for my experience. In my first business class, my first MCOB professor said, 鈥渨e鈥檙e going to build all of you a four-year plan to make sure you鈥檙e in-and-out and on-track to graduate.鈥� I loved this! As time went on, I was able to make great connections with professors that truly cared for their students. This pushed me to get a job on campus to help prospective students find their way to 麻豆直播. I now work as a tour guide and show future students and their families everything from our residence halls to the Student Rec Center. I currently work with the Marketing Department of 麻豆直播 Alabama Athletics as an Intern for Brand Advancement & Fan Engagement. This semester I鈥檒l be working with our men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 basketball programs, as well as baseball and softball. 

As I begin looking for my first job out of college, I am a little nervous. But I know that the skills and tools that and the Mitchell College of Business has provided me with will allow me to be successful. I鈥檓 looking for careers in athletic marketing, because 鈥渋f you do what you love, you鈥檒l never work a day in your life.鈥�
